God's presence brings change

Ps 16:11  says in your presence in fullness of joy and at your right hand pleasures for evermore.

We were created to be creatures of pleasure.  In fact the two main motivators in man's life is 1. to experience pleasure and 2. avoid pain.

Yesterday my family attended a worship service in Ashland, Ohio at Bethel Church, Ashland.

(I will have to fnish this blog in  a bit.  Still new at this and learning all the different ins and outs.)

  1. I experienced the presence of God in a strong way during that service and in the preaching after the worship time. My heart just melted like butter. Anyone know what I am talking about? My need before the Lord was not particularly about a need that I had.. but a desire to see people reached with the Love of Jesus. I desire to see Jesus touch people's lives like He did when He walked on the face of the earth. We need a touch like this in our world.

I get so angry and upset about injustices in this world. I just want to do something. During the worship time yesterday... I sensed strongly the presence of God.. I sensed God speaking to me and changing my heart. I sensed His heart for people. My prayer was that He would show me how to walk in compassion for others. To remove the callousness from my heart.
He did something in me during that worship time.

The message that followed from the pastor dealt with this. A powerful message. About God's presence amoung us now! About how, if we are believers, Christ lives in us! We are His feet! We are His hands! We are His heart! We are His presence in this earth! Let US spread the love of Christ NOW!
In this day and age it is easier than ever. We can send a text. We can smile at the cashier and wish them a nice day. We can get online with our bank and send that single mother a check. We can send that doctor in Kenya money to help with his clinic.

It is so easy my friends. Let's share the love of Christ today.
